Aim High Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
Ages 3-5 years
Students learn basic forms of movement and technique through imaginative games, songs, music and rhythmical patterns while learning how to foster independence. Students will be introduced to the concepts of body, energy, space, and time as well as encouraged to take direction from the instructor and share turns with peers.
Students will learn ballet concepts including turn out, coordination, spatial awareness and a specific focus on class etiquette. Technically students will begin positions of the feet and arms, and introductory movement vocabulary as well as French terminology and musicality.
Ages 8 and up
Students will build upon technique learned from Beg. Ballet as well as body alignment and muscle awareness. This class will focus on direction of the body and increased movement vocabulary.
Body Mechanics/Foot Stretch:
Body Mechanics/Foot Stretch- Body mechanics and foot stretch is a class that will assess and instruct movers to access proper muscle action, alignment, and core support. The second portion of the class will instruct and equip students to full access the range of motion, flexibility, and strength in the feet.
Hip Hop for tots:
This exciting dance class is a beginner level class in hip-hop for young children. The dancers will learn combinations from various styles of hip-hop through combinations and creative personal expression.
This Tap class is a beginner level class including techniques from Broadway tap and Rhythm tap. Dancers will learn the basic techniques of tap in addition to following rhythms, patterns, and combinations.
Jazz is an upbeat and energetic class that class focuses on developing a dancer’s strength, flexibility, musicality, and cultural awareness through technique progressions such as kicks, turns, and leaps. The class will draw from a wide variety of jazz techniques and cultural influences to teach rhythm, isolations, and performance dynamics.
